With the new program, first responders from Middletown and Tipp City, Ohio, can enter patient information into the individual’s EHR while in transport. Data transferred can include vital signs, electrocardiogram results and medication or treatments the patient has received. The data is then uploaded to a cloud system that electronically transfers and attaches the information to the patient’s care report.
Premier Health told WCPO it’s the first health system in the region to launch the new program. The hospital is a verified Level 3 trauma center and employs more than 490 physicians.
