EMDs, a provider of integrated EHR products, practice management software, revenue cycle management solutions and credentialing services, acquired Aprima Medical Software.
Aprima is a developer of EHR and practice management software as well as revenue cycle management solutions for ambulatory care organizations.
The acquisition brings together two companies focused on platform modernization programs aimed at deploying new technology across their client bases. Combined, the companies will operate as eMDs and Aprima, an eMDs company, until the integration is finalized. Derek Pickell, eMDs CEO, will head the combined organization while Aprima CEO Michael Nissenbaum will serve in an advisory role during the integration.
