Mount Sinai Health System patients will now be able to access care at any of One Medical’s nine New York-based primary care clinics, in addition to the health system’s specialists and hospitals. One Medical members will be able to access care at Mount Sinai in addition to specialists outside of the health system.
The agreement will allow Mount Sinai and One Medical physicians to share patient information and access each other’s EHR systems.
One Medical CEO Amir Rubin told Benefits Pro the company’s goal is to make accessing physicians easier for patients because “consumers are frustrated with the complexity of accessing care.”
One Medical’s mobile app lets members book appointments and communicate with physicians directly. The primary-care network has partnered with various other health systems, including Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health, UC San Diego Health and UC San Francisco Health.
