Meditech to integrate hospital infusion pump software with EHRs

Medical technology company Ivenix will begin using software to support data sharing between its infusion pump and Meditech EHRs.

Ivenix announced on Oct. 23 its partnership with Latric Systems, a healthcare technology company that focuses on EHR optimization and interoperability. The companies will develop a software that allows automatic documentation of infusion pump data directly into Meditech EHR systems.

"Smart pump-EMR integration reduces manual programming steps for nurses, duplicative documentation and clinician fatigue," said Susan Niemeier, BSN, RN, CNO at Ivenix, according to a news release emailed to Becker's Hospital Review. "Without it, there are multiple opportunities for error, impacting care quality, outcomes, and the cost of care."
