The move to Meditech Expanse will consolidate the hospital’s multiple systems and patient portals into one streamlined platform, according to a Dec. 12 news release. The hospital selected the cloud-based Meditech as a Service model for its cost efficiency and customization options.

Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services plans to use the new system for care coordination, revenue cycle improvements, and monitoring patient populations through Expanse Care Compass.

The hospital is the fifth-largest critical access hospital in the U.S., serving eight counties through its main facility and 29 clinics.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
