A team of more than 40 health IT professionals has been working on Epic’s implementation. The hospital is asking patients to arrive 15 minutes early in the weeks following Sept. 17 to help with the transition, according to the Aug. 1 Hamilton news release.

“For years, using the same highly coordinated Epic EHR in our rural communities that are used throughout the nation had been a seemingly unreachable goal. Now, electronically connecting our local healthcare services and patients through Epic is a reality which will both better coordinate and improve the quality of care provided to the patients we serve,” Hamilton Memorial Hospital District CEO Victoria Woodrow said.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
