General Dynamics wins $89M contract for EHR modernization on tribal land

The IT business unit of General Dynamics has won an $89 million EHR operating and modernization contract with the Indian Health Service, according to Sept. 2 reporting in govconwire.com.

The contract is awarded over five years, with a one-year base period and four option years. Under the agreement, General Dynamics will provide IT services and project management to the resource and patient management system that serves Indigenous Americans and Alaskan Natives. 

"The enhancements to RPMS will further support better patient healthcare and improve outcomes across tribal communities nationwide," said Kamal Narang, vice president and general manager for federal health at General Dynamics Information Technology.
