For the list, Forbes named the 100 richest self-made tech billionaires, including people in the hardware, software, social media, online gambling and high-tech manufacturing industries. The 100 honorees have a combined net worth of $1.08 trillion, according to Forbes.
Ms. Faulkner, 74, who boasts $3.4 billion in net worth, is the only individual for whom Forbes listed “health IT” as his or her original of wealth.
