The App Orchard, which launched in 2017, offers pre-approved apps that can run on Epic’s software but are designed by third-party developers. Hospitals and health systems that implement VisualDx through the App Orchard will be able to operate the software through their Epic system.
VisualDx extracts patient health information from the EHR to create a list of patient-specific diagnoses and medications with clinical content. Once the list is generated, the clinician can access peer-reviewed clinician information and images to help determine the patient’s diagnosis.
