Five things to know:
1. Mr. Wilder will lead CommonWell as the organization pursues new initiatives to boost the use of its interoperability services by clinicians and practitioners.
2. Mr. Wilder has more than 20 years of health IT experience in areas such as imaging, clinical informatics and interoperability.
3. Most recently, Mr. Wilder served as vice president of strategy and business development of Philips’ interoperability solutions.
4. He also filled various leadership positions, including chief innovation officer and vice president of product management, at the New York eHealth Collaborative, one of the largest health information exchange networks in the U.S.
5. CommonWell was founded in 2013 by several IT vendors, including Allscripts, Cerner and Athenahealth. More than 66 million individuals and 15,000 U.S. care provider sites use its vendor-neutral interoperability platform.
