The pair was given the 2021 CHIME Collaboration Award for their industrywide innovation efforts, according to a Jan. 11 press release.
Together, HCA Healthcare and Meditech have produced:
- INSPIRE Antimicrobial Stewardship Program
A program that used a clinical trial and combines smart prompts and custom codes to ensure pneumonia patients get accurate medication recommendations.
- National Response Portal
A collaboration between Google, Meditech and HCA Healthcare that used geographic metrics from hospitals to gather insights that could help end the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two have been working together for decades, according to the press release.
