For its Annual State of Global EHR Research report, Black Book surveyed 4,056 hospitals and health systems that use EHRs. The organizations are headquartered in countries and regions including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South America, among others.

Participants were asked about their thoughts on EHR vendor experience and satisfaction. The top-ranked vendors were measured by 18 key performance indicators and rated by meeting outcomes such as buyer expectations, forecast budget costs and resource allocation goals.

Three survey insights:

1. Allscripts ranked No. 1 of 68 EHR vendors for user satisfaction named in the report.

2. For the first time, Allscripts was named the top health system EHR vendor in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

3. Prior to the report, Black Book ranked Allscripts’ Sunrise platform as the No. 1 overall inpatient EHR for large hospitals across the U.S. in 2019.
