Black Book: Allscripts ranks as top EHR among hospital chains, integrated delivery networks

Allscripts ranked as the top single-source health IT vendor for EHR, revenue cycle management and population health functions among hospital chains, hospital networks and integrated delivery networks, according to a Black Book survey.

For the survey, Black Book asked 490 representatives from U.S. chain, network and IDN hospitals about their use of single-source or disparate EHR, RCM and population health solutions. The majority of respondents using a single-source vendor — 86 percent — expressed confidence in their readiness for value-based care, compared to 18 percent of those with disparate solutions.

Allscripts ranked as the top integrated EHR and billing software solution for chain, network and IDN hospitals, based on client experience and customer satisfaction scores Black Book compiled using 18 performance indicators. Other top vendors in the space included Meditech, Cerner, McKesson, Epic and CPSI.
