Clinicians can now access the CDC’s guidance directly through their mobile devices while providing care to patients. Views of the guidelines within Athenahealth’s app, dubbed Epocrates, have increased more than 600 percent since March 9, according to the news release.
“There may be multiple CDC updates on any given day, reflecting the evolving landscape of COVID-19,” said Diane Bartoli, general manager of Epocrates. “Epocrates reduces the time needed to comb through all of the information and gives that time back to clinicians to spend with their patients.”
