Allscripts' budgeting platform unveils analytics services

Epsi, Allscripts' healthcare decision analytics and budgeting business, released a new analytics platform that provides data visualizations to help hospital leaders analyze clinical, financial and operational performance, according to a Dec. 3 news release.

The analytics platform will allow Epsi to compile analytics packages comprising bundled services, data mappings and visualizations to help support clients' business intelligence initiatives, said Ralph Keiser, CEO of Epsi, according to the news release.

"As Epsi has continued to innovate on our flexible platform, we saw the need to offer new business intelligence capabilities to enable our clients to leverage the rich data in our fully integrated database, which can be further enriched through the use of our Data Extender tool to add even more data to patient records, service lines and more," said Mr. Keiser.

More than 1,015 U.S. hospitals use Epsi's healthcare decision analytics, budgeting and planning solutions.
