7 healthcare organizations form Meditech collaborative

Seven hospitals, health systems and rehabilitation centers in Mississippi and Alabama teamed up to form the Mississippi Meditech CIO Collaborative, which aims to apply EHR technologies to enhance patient outcomes and revenue cycle processes, among other areas.

The collaboration focuses on sharing ideas and strategies to improve patient safety and efficiency as well as offer EHR technology support.

The group includes executives from the following organizations:

1. Anderson Regional Health System (Meridian, Miss.)
2. DCH Health System (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
3. Delta Regional Medical Center (Greenville, Miss.)
4. George Regional Health System (Lucedale, Miss.)
5. King’s Daughters Medical Center (Brookhaven, Miss.)
6. Magnolia Regional Health Center (Corinth, Miss.)
7. Methodist Rehabilitation Center (Jackson, Miss.)
