One hundred and sixty-three 500+-bed hospitals purchased an Epic EMR last year, according to a recent KLAS Research report.
KLAS Research analyzed vendors in use at 5,447 acute care hospitals across the country for its U.S. Hospital EMR Market Share 2019 report.
Here's which EMR vendors 500+bed hospitals chose for their new systems in 2018:
· Epic: 163
· Cerner: 77
· Allscripts: 16
· Meditech 12
Of these EMR vendors, just Epic and Cerner had positive net changes in market share among 500+-bed hospitals over the past 10 years, with 58 percent and 27 percent respectively.
