12 California clinics to transition to Epic EHR

OCHIN, a national nonprofit health IT organization that provides technology for community health centers, will extend access to its Epic EHR to North County Health Services in San Marcos, Calif.

NCHS will provide Epic EHR access and practice management solutions to 12 clinical sites in 2020. The nonprofit organization serves more than 67,000 uninsured and underinsured patients annually in North San Diego County and Riverside County, both in California.

"We are excited to partner with OCHIN to bring the best in technology for the region's most vulnerable patients and the clinicians who care for them," said Barbara Kennedy, president and CEO at NCHS, according to a news release. "This partnership will allow our clinicians and staff to focus on delivering excellent care to our patients while OCHIN delivers and supports our EHR system across our clinical community."
