Pennsylvania hospital uses capital campaign for $1.3M ER renovation

Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital is beginning a capital campaign to raise funds for a $1.3 million emergency room renovation, according to a Titusville Herald report.

The campaign kicks off with a Week of Giving from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2, according to Holli Wolfe, director of marketing and foundation at Titusville Area Hospital.

The hospital is hosting a wellness event in the cardiac rehab department on Tuesday, which will include free screenings for blood pressure, body mass index and lung capacity. All proceeds will benefit the capital campaign.

ER renovations will include new sliding glass doors and an overhang in the ambulance back-in area to protect patients from weather.

"While the anticipated cost of the renovation is nearly $1.3 million, the foundation set a campaign goal of $250,000," Ms. Wolfe said. "It is our hope to exceed the goal so we can provide the funds necessary for TAH to complete the renovations."

Although campaign contributions can be made until August 2018, the foundation is encouraging donors to contribute during the Week of Giving. All personal donations will be matched by 50 percent from the John Nesbit Rees and Sarah Henne Rees Charitable Foundation.
