The ED and operating room expansion is phase two of a larger project, which includes a $57 million, 100,000-square-foot hospital expansion and a $4.3 million pharmacy expansion.
The ED expansion will add 7,000 square feet and will increase total capacity to 36 rooms, allowing it to serve more than 55,000 patients a year. There will also be a new ambulance drop-off area and waiting room.
Phase two of the expansion is anticipated to be completed in fall 2018, according to a Coeur d’Alene Press report.
