New iPhone could analyze users' moods through AI

Apple's new iPhone could be equipped with artificial intelligence to track users' moods, sleep and breathing, The Daily Mail reported.

The iPhone 15, expected to be released in September, could also use AI to tailor workouts and meal plans by monitoring people's movement, food intake and fitness routines, tech insider Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities predicted in the July 12 story. The device would clue in on users' moods by analyzing their speech and texts.

"We believe it's a matter of when, not if, Apple makes the aggressive move into AI," Mr. Ives told the news outlet. "[Apple CEO Tim] Cook plays chess while others play checkers."

The analyst said he believes the device could also track heart rates, and that Apple may unveil a separate App Store for AI-powered apps.
