Microsoft research president joins Mayo Clinic board of trustees

Peter Lee, Ph.D., the president of Microsoft Research, has been appointed to the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees.

Dr. Lee, who joined the tech company in 2010, oversees 13 global Microsoft Research labs, according to a May 9 news release Mayo shared with Becker’s

Prior to Microsoft, Dr. Lee led the Transformational Convergence Technology Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, where he developed tools in machine learning and computational social science for national security applications.
