Amazon’s personal assistant Alexa, introduced in November 2014, will be able to activate Microsoft’s Cortana, which was announced in May 2015, and vice versa. This integration will allow Amazon customers to use Alexa to access Cortana features — such as work calendars — and Microsoft customers to order products from Amazon or control their smart home devices.
“Together, their strengths will complement each other and provide customers with a richer and even more helpful experience,” Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, said in a press release, reports CNBC.
