Jie Xu, PhD. Age 33. Argonne National Laboratory. She invented printable skin-like electronics that can be used for prosthetics and skin-worn medical sensors.

Amay Bandodkar, PhD. Age 33. North Carolina State University (Raleigh). He created self-powered biomedical sensors to make health tracking in wearables less cumbersome.

Jonathan Gootenberg, PhD. Age 30. MIT. He revolutionized gene-editing tools to help patients fight cancer.

Jacob Becraft, PhD. Age 30. Strand Therapeutics. He is the co-founder and CEO of a startup that is innovating mRNA and seeing if it can be used in cancer treatment.
