Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health has struck a multiyear deal with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans to become the team’s official healthcare provider and sponsor its new arena.

The academic health system will be a founding “cornerstone sponsor” of the new Nissan Stadium, a 60,000-seat facility set to open in 2027. A family zone will be dubbed the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Terrace. Vanderbilt Health will have the naming rights to an entrance, and its signage will appear inside the stadium bowl. Vanderbilt LifeFlight Event Medicine will provide first aid and emergency services on-site.

“Everyone knows that nothing brings a community together like football,” Vanderbilt Health President and CEO Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, said in a March 2 news release. “This long-term partnership with the Titans signals further expansion of Vanderbilt Sports Medicine into the Mid-South, and comes at an exciting time with the new Nissan Stadium marking another major step in solidifying Nashville as one of the biggest sports and entertainment markets in the U.S.”

Also, the team’s headquarters and practice facility will be renamed the Vanderbilt Health Football Center.
