Tampa-based University of South Florida Athletics and Tampa General Hospital have formed a multi-year partnership to place the TGH logo on the USF Bulls football uniforms.
The logo will mark the first jersey patch sponsorship in Florida college athletics and among the first across the U.S. that involves a health care provider, according to an April 8 news release.
The agreement deepens a relationship between the two organizations that goes back more than 25 years, with TGH serving as the exclusive hospital-based health care provider for USF Athletics across its 21 varsity programs.
“As members of our Tampa Bay community, we have the privilege of caring for student-athletes on and off the field,” John Couris, president and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center — Tampa General Hospital, said in the release. “At its heart, this partnership is about just that: delivering world-class, comprehensive care — powered by academic medicine — that supports their health, safety and performance year-round.”
The Bulls’ new uniforms will be revealed Sept. 5 when USF kicks off the 2026 season against Miami-based Florida International University at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The game will be presented by TGH.
