Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md., has been renamed TidalHealth Atlantic following its integration into the TidalHealth system last year.
The name change also applies to the former Atlantic General Health System campuses, physician offices and diagnostic locations, which have adopted branding aligned with the Salisbury, Md.-based health system, according to a March 4 news release. The rebranding reflects the organization’s integration into TidalHealth and a shared focus on expanding access to care across the region.
The transition will not disrupt patient care, services, locations or care teams, and no jobs will be lost as part of the rebranding, the release said. Health system leaders said the move is intended to support future growth, including service expansion and facility enhancements.
TidalHealth Atlantic and its associated offices have also implemented Epic as their electronic health record system. The platform is already used across TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, TidalHealth Nanticoke, TidalHealth Primary & Specialty Care offices and some community practices.
Aligning electronic health records across the system is intended to improve coordination between clinicians and patients.
Atlantic General Hospital signed a definitive agreement to merge with TidalHealth in May 2025.
