Three details:
- The hospital, acquired by San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare in July 2017, is now named Methodist Hospital Atascosa, according to a Nov. 8 news release.
- The health system purchased the 67-bed facility to increase its presence in rural South Texas communities.
- “Renaming our hospital demonstrates our commitment to Atascosa County and the surrounding areas,” said Greg Seiler, CEO of Methodist Hospital Atascosa. “We look forward to supporting the healthcare needs of this county by continuing to grow the services we offer under our new name.”
