A Texas academic medical center has rebranded to better reflect its local roots and align with its parent system.

The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, which is often simply called HSC, is now known as UNT Health Fort Worth. It is part of the UNT System.

“At UNT Health, we’re embracing both our history and our future,” Interim President Kirk Calhoun, MD, said in a June 16 news release. “This change represents who we’ve always been and who we will continue to be — a trusted community partner, a hub for research and learning, and a place where future and current health professionals are prepared to lead with purpose.”

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
