Tampa General Hospital and Main Line Health each unveiled new college athletics jersey patch sponsorships, becoming the first health systems to hold such deals with the University of South Florida and Saint Joseph’s University, respectively.
Tampa (Fla.) General and USF Athletics revealed the Bulls’ new football uniforms July 22 at Tampa General’s helipad on Davis Islands, featuring the hospital’s logo patch.
The reveal, according to a July 22 news release, follows an April announcement making Tampa General the first jersey patch sponsor in Florida collegiate athletics and one of the first healthcare providers with a college jersey partnership nationally.
The uniforms debut Sept. 5, when USF opens its season against Florida International University at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Tampa General has served as USF Athletics’ exclusive hospital-based healthcare provider for more than 25 years.
In Bryn Mawr, Pa., Main Line Health and Saint Joseph’s Athletics announced an affiliation naming the health system the exclusive medical provider for the Hawks and the first-ever jersey patch partner in program history.
The Main Line Health logo will appear on uniforms for Saint Joseph’s Division I teams starting this fall, according to a July 22 news release.
