Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont Vail Health will retire the Cotton O’Neil brand and bring all clinics and services under the single Stormont Vail Health name.
The move builds on the 1995 partnership between Stormont Vail and Cotton O’Neil that merged hospital and clinic care into one integrated system. Cotton O’Neil clinics have operated under Stormont Vail for 30 years, often carrying separate branding that officials say has confused patients trying to schedule appointments, pay bills or find services.
The transition will roll out in phases across signage, communications and clinic names, with some locations temporarily labeled “formerly Cotton O’Neil” during the switch, according to a July 15 news release Stormont shared with Becker’s. Providers, locations and services will not change.
Stormont Vail Health operates more than 35 locations across the eastern part of the state, including acute care hospitals in Topeka and Junction City, with a medical staff of more than 570 providers.
