The Lansing, Mich.-based health system said the name change will better reflect its affiliation with the University of Michigan.
“University of Michigan Health-Sparrow reflects a partnership going forward, building on the equity of both brands,” James Dover, president and CEO of Sparrow, told the publication.
Sparrow Health System became a part of Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Health in April.
