Gonzales, La.-based Our Lady of the Lake Ascension has officially returned to its original name, Our Lady of the Lake St. Elizabeth.

The name change, announced by Baton Rouge, La.-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, comes as the hospital expands services to better meet the needs of Ascension Parish’s growing population, according to a March 14 news release.

“The future of healthcare in Ascension with Our Lady of the Lake St. Elizabeth has never been brighter,” Chuck Spicer, president of Our Lady of the Lake Health, said in the release. “With expanded services, we’re bringing world-class care closer to home and are ready to meet the needs of our growing community.”
