Kaiser Permanente donates $350K to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation for youth mental health awareness

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has donated $350,000 to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation to boost youth mental health awareness and resources.

The grant will allow Born This Way to fund more organizations in California focused on young people's mental wellness and support the Be There Certificate, a free online mental health course created by youth suicide prevention organization Jack.org in partnership with Born This Way.

"Kaiser Permanente is committed to removing the barriers that prevent young people from receiving the support and care they need to address their mental health and wellness," said Yvette Radford, vice president of external and community affairs for Kaiser Permanente Northern California, in a Jan. 17 news release.

“Through partnerships with organizations like Born This Way Foundation, we are helping to increase access to mental health services in our communities, while also creating a culture of acceptance and support for young people living with mental health conditions."
