Generation Thrive is located at the Warriors’ former practice site in Oakland and provides health-and-wellness programming for kids as well as college and career readiness support, according to the April 21 story. Its amenities include basketball courts, a wellness area and a “state-of-the-art” kitchen.
“We talk about cradle to career, so we’re serving nonprofits that serve kids from the time they’re born to not only when they graduate, to getting a job, and everything in between,” Warriors President and COO Brandon Schneider told the news outlet.
Generation Thrive’s advisory board includes Janet Liang, executive vice president and group president and COO of care delivery for Kaiser Permanente, and Yvette Radford, the health system’s vice president of external and community affairs.
