Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is partnering with Smith Entertainment Group to develop a sports medicine and performance center that will serve as the official healthcare hub for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth.
The Intermountain Health Sports Performance Center, slated to open in 2028 in Sandy, Utah, will anchor a new sports campus adjacent to the Utah Mammoth Ice Center and a future Utah Jazz practice facility, according to a May 13 news release.
The nearly 60,000-square-foot center will provide services including primary care, sports medicine, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, advanced diagnostics and imaging, performance therapy and an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center.
Intermountain Health also will become the official healthcare partner for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth beginning July 1. Select Health will serve as the exclusive health insurance provider for the teams.
