UFC has renewed its partnership with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City under a new multiyear agreement, continuing a nearly decade-long relationship focused on athlete care and orthopedic support.

The agreement keeps the Hospital for Special Surgery as the organization’s exclusive official hospital and orthopedic consultant, embedding its physicians within UFC’s medical infrastructure during events and training, according to an April 7 news release. Robert Marx, MD, and Todd McGrath, MD, will serve as head consulting orthopedic surgeon and physician, respectively, and will be on call at UFC events.

The partnership will also expand the Hospital for Special Surgery’s footprint within UFC’s Performance Institute network, including a larger role at the Mexico City facility alongside its existing presence in Las Vegas.
