Wheeling, W.Va.-based Orchard Park Hospital, a 30-bed psychiatric hospital, said in a statement to the news outlet that “information referring to a small number of employees leaving the facility has given an inaccurate impression.” Three nurses resigned, but 10 staffers remain, the Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register reported Nov. 18.
The hospital said, however, that it will not take on new patient referrals until after the holiday season to “ensure that current staff are able to take their planned vacations at this time,” according to WTOV. Orchard Park opened in September.
