Couple’s $42M gift leads to renaming of MetroHealth facility

Bob and JoAnn Glick, RN, the couple who donated $42 million to Cleveland-based MetroHealth, said the new $767 million MetroHealth Glick Center “unquestionably exceeds our greatest expectations,” Cleveland Jewish News reported Nov. 6.

The philanthropist couple made the record donation in 2020 to establish a fund that will work to correct health inequities. The hospital, named after the couple, opened Nov. 5.

Mr. Glick is the founder and former CEO of the Dots clothing company and Ms. Glick is a nurse who worked at hospitals in Philadelphia and Cleveland.
