Tennessee Hospital Gets New Name, Logo Under Capella-St. Thomas Partnership

White County Community Hospital in Sparta, Tenn., will be renamed Highlands Medical Center under a new merger with Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Health, according to an Expositor report.

The hospital was formerly owned by Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare, but the system recently finalized a partnership with St. Thomas for joint ownership of four Capella hospitals.

The logo for Highlands Medical Center will change from the Capella star to the St. Thomas cross with the Capella star inside it.

Name changes for the other three hospitals involved in the merger were not disclosed in the report.
