Past participants of ad studies through Becker’s Hospital Review, in partnership with Signet Research, have been able to get insight in 3 areas:
1. A deeper understanding of the Becker’s Hospital Review readership through the “Reader Profile”
For example: 85% of May 2013 survey respondents identified as C-suite, and 9% as VP/Director level & 79% of our readers are involved in the purchasing decision in one or more areas at their hospital/health system.
2. The ad is scored – and ranked – against others in your industry/category
Scores used include: Recall Seeing, Recall Reading, AdStudy® Score, and Have Seen Sales Rep
3. Verbatim feedback is provided – some examples from May 2013:
“Nice eye appeal – you have to read a bit to figure out what the product is.”
“Already familiar with the vendor.”
“Eye catching and to the point. Ad is effective and making one consider them.”
“I like it. They correctly portrayed the situation and offered to help.”
“Unclear as to what they are selling.”
“Too much text. Boring stock photos.”
“Leaves me wanting to know more about billing services- locum only?”
“A little busy to focus on meaning.”
“”The tag line may get your attention but there’s nothing backing it up to hold it. For
the ad, it’s a lost opportunity to make the message stick. Not sure what the ad is
about and it doesn’t make me want to take the time to read it.”
