Through the digital platform, PayZen will fund Crawford once a patient makes their first payment and then the company will take on the risk of default by working with the patient to collect the rest of the debt. Every patient who needs extra time to pay is approved for a plan, according to a Dec. 8 PayZen news release.

“This partnership with PayZen allows us to further that commitment by breaking down financial barriers and ensuring that every patient can receive the quality healthcare they deserve,” Crawford Memorial Hospital Director of Revenue Cycle Julia Holt said in the news release.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
