Digital health: Who's up, who's down

The digital health market is constantly changing, with startups coming on to the scene and more established companies restructuring their strategies.

Companies that had a good week:

 

  1. SwitchPoint Ventures partnered with Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services to launch an innovation studio.

  2. Censinet, a digital risk management company, received $9 million in a financing round that saw investment backing from several health systems.

  3. Data analytics company Holmusk secured $45 million in a series B financing round.

 

Companies that had a bad week:

 

  1. Cue Health, an at-home diagnostics company, laid off 388 employees. 

  2. Verily, the healthcare unit of parent company Alphabet, laid off 15 percent of its staff. 

  3. Software giant Salesforce saw Taher Elgamal, chief technology officer of security, leave the company.
