Cleveland Clinic, CVS Health join new data sharing platform

CVS Health and Cleveland Clinic are among the first entities to adopt Avaneer Health's new data sharing and healthcare administration platform.

The platform is designed to reduce data fragmentation and streamline healthcare administration operations.

Indianapolis-based Elevance Health and Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare also connected to the data sharing network, according to a March 13 Avaneer news release.

Avaneer was founded in 2020 with input from CVS and Cleveland Clinic leaders.

"Joining the network and transacting differently with payers and other providers will enable healthcare organizations to improve efficiencies and automate administrative processes, resulting in an enhanced patient and clinician experience," Sonja O'Malley, senior director of innovation at Cleveland Clinic, said in the release. "Another clear advantage to the network is that data is not aggregated – it remains with the originator. We look forward to seeing additional payers and providers join us on the network in the near future."
