Cota completed its Series C investment round with $40 million in funding, the New York City-based healthcare analytics startup confirmed Feb. 21.
IQVIA, a Durham, N.C.-based healthcare technology and contract research services provider, led the funding round with major participation by EW Healthcare Partners, a New York City-based pharmaceutical company focused on oncology.
New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center also participated in the funding round, along with a group of existing investors. Memorial Sloan Kettering entered into a multiyear partnership with Cota in November, under which the cancer center will provide the startup with anonymized clinical data.
Cota's leadership team plans to use the Series C funding to scale its solution across healthcare providers, payers and life sciences companies. Cota's solution helps healthcare organizations apply precision medicine by categorizing patient demographic factors, diseases and therapies.
