EarlySense will integrate the eCART ‘Lite’ early warning score tool, which analyzes patients’ heart and respiratory rates to predict their risk of cardiac arrest, into its monitoring products. EarlySense’s products passively collect vital signs — including heart and respiratory data — while patients lie in bed or sit in a chair, and use artificial intelligence and analytics for early detection of patient deterioration.
“Combining Dr. Edelson’s approach with real-time data enhances true deterioration detection,” Avner Halperin, co-founder and CEO of EarlySense, said in a May 30 statement. “We are pleased to collaborate with her to bring state-of-the-art data analytics to hospitals, post-acute care facilities and homes.”
