A Texas health system has gone into downtime procedures following an IT outage.
Edinburg, Texas-based DHR Health switched to using paper records after the network disruption March 20.
“DHR Health is currently addressing a cyber incident, and our IT teams are working quickly to restore full functionality and we remain open to serve our community,” the health system said in a statement posted on social media. “Our backup systems ensure smooth operations, and our dedicated staff is fully prepared to assist.”
The health system told KRGV it has not canceled any scheduled medical procedures besides those in the cath lab.
