‘IT event’ affects operations at Missouri hospital

Liberty (Mo.) Hospital is diverting patients as the hospital deals with an “IT event,” CBS affiliate KCTV reported Dec. 19.

The fire department has transferred 15 patients to other facilities due to the event. The cause of the IT event has not been disclosed.

“Patient safety remains our utmost concern. We are in the process of evaluating every patient to ensure they receive the highest quality of care and to determine next steps, which may include transfer to another facility,” the hospital said in a statement.
