Between Oct. 19, 2023, and Nov. 11, 2024, the individual accessed portions of certain patients’ electronic medical records, according to a breach notification posted on Summa Health’s website. Summa became aware of the incident on Nov. 13.
The potentially compromised information includes names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, parts or all of individuals’ Social Security numbers, and medical and treatment details. However, Summa said it has no evidence indicating any misuse of the information.
The employee is no longer employed by Summa Health.
