CynergisTek, a provider of healthcare cybersecurity, privacy and information assurance, formed a preferred partnership with Protenus, a healthcare compliance analytics company.
Per the partnership, health system clients will gain access to Protenus' artificial intelligence-powered analytics platform that gathers patient privacy risk data along with CynergisTek's Patient Privacy Monitoring Service, a managed service offering. Together the companies aim to help health systems enhance their patient privacy monitoring programs.
The Protenus Breach Barometer, a quarterly snapshot of disclosed breaches, shows insider incidents accounted for 23 percent of all breaches that occurred at health systems in the third quarter of 2018.
